Yoga



Yoga teaches us to pay attention. First, to our tight and unsteady bodies on the mat, then to our breath, then to our minds and our thoughts. We pay close attention to ourselves, getting to know our physical selves again on a very intimate level. Knowing ourselves so well that we notice when we start to go off-kilter, rather than having to wait until disease to know.
Knowing ourselves, our strengths and our weaknesses and learning to love them both. Learning to love and nurture ourselves again, so that we can more fully continue to nurture those around us with integrity. Yoga teaches us to pay attention.

Massage

Ayurveda
Ayurveda looks at each individual as a unique balance of the five elements: ether, air, fire, water and earth. Ayurveda views the entire human body, mind and spirit, as one integrated unit that can fall in and out of balance. Rather than masking symptoms, Ayurveda searches for the root cause of the problem.
Ayurveda is at its finest when used as a means of prevention. Disease is viewed as a state of imbalance in the body and treatment includes simple and natural remedies, including nutritional modifications, yoga, pranayama (breathwork), meditation, herbal therapies, healing and stabilizing daily routines and specialized body treatments to soothe, nourish and restore body, mind and spirit..

Ayurvedic Yoga Body/Mind Reset

Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences. Used together in simple ways, they can create profound shifts, in body, mind and spirit. According to Ayurveda, each individual has a constitution that is unique to us—governed by our physical and emotional make-up and our lifestyle—the foods we eat, the way we live daily lives, the way we shift from season to season. These constitutions are called doshas.
Join Debra for a unique set of private Yoga and Ayurveda sessions, which will meld together basic Ayurveda lifestyle training with yoga designed for your unique Ayurvedic body type and your specific needs. Learn simple breathing and basic meditation to help soothe body and mind. Learn seasonal Ayurvedic food choices and simple healthful ways to nourish your body deeply.
